Show at Rockwood on May 5!

This Sunday, May 5th, I'm singing with a new group of gents at Rockwood Music Hall at 10 pm.

I'm gearing up to do some recording this year, and my pal and collaborator/drummer Ethan Eubanks has pulled in some monsters to join us in preparation.  Bassist Andy Hess, guitarist Aaron Lee Tasjan, and pianist Andrew Sherman are all totally remarkable players and I can't wait to make music with them.  It would be a thrill for you all to be there.  I think it might be a pretty smokin' evening.

UK Show Coming Up October 17th

I'm thrilled to announce that I'll be making my first appearance in the UK next month.  My longtime friend, collaborator, and brilliant pianist Erik Deutsch will be joining me on stage upstairs at the legendary Ronnie Scott's, October 17th from 7 to 8:30pm.  As we'll have a longer set than we're accustomed to here in speedy NYC, we'll be stretching our wings a bit, debuting some new material and digging in to some of our favorites.  We're both really excited to be making music at such a storied jazz haunt, and to share our thing with friends across the pond.

A little info on the venue, via the interwebs:  "Ronnie Scott's is one of the world’s oldest and most iconic jazz clubs. Ronnie Scott’s is located in Soho, central London and has been thrilling jazz lovers since 1959. Indeed the club is one of the most popular London attractions with jazz-loving London tourists. The club opened in 1959 in Gerrard Street before moving to Frith Street in 1965, where it has remained since.  Ronnie Scott’s showcases jazz artists from around the world, particularly from the USA."

There will be more NYC-based shows this autumn to come, and some new recordings will soon be in the works.
